Bestselling Author Iris Krasnow LAUNCHES Internet Talk Radio Show "Connecting Women" on the VoiceAmericaTM Network May 17, 2007
PHOENIX - Iris Krasnow, the bestselling author of books on relationships, will host the new VoiceAmerica.com internet radio-video show, Connecting Women, airing Thursdays at 11am/PST, 2 p.m. EST, on the VoiceAmerica Women ' s channel.
Connecting Women is produced in partnership with Filmsters Producer, Lee Anderson and Emmy Award Winning Producer/Director, Patti White. The purpose and focus of the show is to connect women and families with issues that matter most, in relationships, professional pursuits, politics, emotional health and physical well-being.
A veteran journalist who was formerly the national feature writer for United Press International, Krasnow will conduct interviews with prominent authors and experts to be followed by a roundtable of "real women" discussing the issues. These sessions will be available simultaneously as Video-On-Demand, filmed by Filmsters, whose latest projects include the production of the ABC hit series Extreme Makeover and the feature documentary, IF I COULD.
The first show, that premiers Thursday, May 17 is titled: Mothers and Daughters, Loving and Loathing, and revolves around Krasnow ' s latest book I Am My Mother ' s Daughter: Making Peace with Mom Before It ' s Too Late. Other prominent guests featured in subsquent shows will include Pulitzer Prize winning author Laura Sessions Stepp, top European fashion designer Sir Paul Smith and dean of the White House Press Corps, Helen Thomas.

Iris Krasnow was born and raised in Oak Park , Illinois . A graduate of Stanford University , she became the fashion writer for the Dallas Times Herald , then moved to United Press International in Washington , D.C. to become the national feature writer.
